Want to win more raids and get those sweet raid medals? You gotta have a great army plan! In this guide, we’ll tell you about the 3 best Clan Capital raid army strategies. We’ll break down the troops and spells that work best for each plan, so you can start dominating!
What is Clan Capital in Clash of Clans?
Okay, first things first: What even is Clan Capital? Think of it as a giant base that your whole Clan builds together. Everyone works together to make it stronger, upgrade defenses, and get cooler troops. It’s a team effort!
But the best part is Raid Weekends! Your Clan gets to battle other Clans and try to conquer their Capitals. When you raid and win, you get Capital Gold to upgrade your own Capital and Raid Medals to buy awesome stuff like Gold, Elixir, and Power Potions for your village and Builder Base. Plus, you can even get troops for battles without waiting for Clanmates to donate – sweet!
3 Best Clan Capital Raid Army Attack Strategy
Each Clan Capital is made up of different areas called Districts. Each District looks different, has different defenses, different troops you can train there, and does different things. So, every District feels unique! Because of this, you can’t just use the same attack plan for every District.
To conquer enemy Districts, you need to plan your attacks carefully. Working with your Clan and coordinating your attacks is KEY if you want to get the best scores during Raid Weekends in Clash of Clans!
At the heart of each District is a District Hall. This is like the Town Hall in your home village, but for your District. You can upgrade District Halls with Capital Gold to make your District stronger. The level of your District Hall decides how high you can upgrade buildings in that District. The higher the District Hall level, the stronger your District can become!
Strategy 1: Capital Hall Level 8 – Sneaky Archer Power!

Troops Composition
For this plan, you’ll use this troop combo:
- 16 Sneaky Archers (Level 4): These sneaky archers are the main damage dealers!
- 2 Super Giants (Level 4): These giants are tough and will soak up damage.
- 8 Battle Rams (Level 4): These rams break down walls and trigger traps.
Here’s the plan: First, use 2 Super Giants followed by 4 Battle Rams to clear a path into the base and trigger any hidden traps near the middle. This makes it safe for your Sneaky Archers! Then, deploy your Sneaky Archers one by one to take down defenses and the District Hall. Use the remaining Battle Rams to break through walls wherever you need to open up paths for your archers.
At Capital Hall Level 8, your Army Camps can hold a total of 220 troops.
- Sneaky Archer: Takes up 10 housing space each
- Super Giant: Takes up 10 housing space each
- Battle Ram: Takes up 5 housing space each

Spells Composition
For spells, keep it simple:
- 2 Rage Spells (Level 3): These spells make your Sneaky Archers super powerful and fast!
Use your Rage Spells wisely! Drop them in areas where there are lots of defenses close together. This will make your Sneaky Archers inside the Rage Spell area do maximum damage and quickly destroy those defenses.
At Capital Hall Level 8, your Spell Storage can hold a total of 6 spells.
- Rage Spell: Takes up 3 spell housing space each

Barracks Required for this Strategy
Here’s where you train these troops and spells in your Capital:
- Sneaky Archers: Train them in the Barbarian Camp District. You can upgrade the Barbarian Camp barracks to Level 4 if your District Hall is Level 4.
- Super Giants: Train them in the Barbarian Camp District too! Same upgrade level as Sneaky Archers.
- Battle Rams: Also trained in the Barbarian Camp District. Same upgrade level again!
- Rage Spells: Make Rage Spells in the Dragon Cliffs District Spell Factory. You can upgrade the Dragon Cliffs Spell Factory to Level 3 if your District Hall is Level 3.
- Army Camps: You can have a total of 5 Army Camps at Capital Hall Level 8:
- Three in Barbarian Camp
- One in Wizard Valley
- One in Dragon Cliffs District
- You can upgrade the Army Camps in each District up to certain levels depending on the District Hall level of that District.
- Spell Storage: You’ll find Spell Storage in the Wizard Valley District. You can upgrade Spell Storage to Level 4 if your District Hall is Level 4.
Strategy 2: Capital Hall Level 9 – Battle Rams & Wizards Blitz!

Troops Composition
For this plan, go with this ground assault:
- 23 Battle Rams (Level 5): Tons of wall-breakers to pave the way!
- 5 Super Wizards (Level 4): Powerful wizards for taking down defenses.
- 5 Hog Gliders (Level 4): Fast, flying troops to target key defenses.
This plan is all about a focused attack from one side! Deploy Battle Rams first to break through walls and create openings. Then, send in your Super Wizards to blast defenses. Use Hog Gliders behind them to quickly take out high-damage defenses that are still standing, like Blast Bows, Inferno Towers, Giant Cannons, or Rocket Artillery.
At Capital Hall Level 9, your Army Camps can hold a total of 240 troops.
- Battle Ram: Takes up 5 housing space each
- Super Wizard: Takes up 10 housing space each
- Hog Glider: Takes up 15 housing space each

Spells Composition
For spells with this ground attack, use:
- 3 Graveyard Spells (Level 3): Summon skeletons to distract defenses!
Use Graveyard Spells smartly! Drop them on areas with lots of defenses, especially near the side you’re attacking from. The skeletons that pop up will distract defenses and make them target the skeletons instead of your Battle Rams and Super Wizards – giving your main troops time to do their job!
At Capital Hall Level 9, your Spell Storage can hold a total of 6 spells.
- Graveyard Spell: Takes up 2 spell housing space each

Barracks Required for this Strategy
Here’s where to train these troops and spells:
- Super Wizards: Train them in the Wizard Valley District. Upgrade the Wizard Valley barracks to Level 4 if your District Hall is Level 4.
- Hog Gliders: Train them in the Dragon Cliffs District. Upgrade the Dragon Cliffs barracks to Level 4 if your District Hall is Level 4.
- Battle Rams: Train them in the Barbarian Camp District. Upgrade the Barbarian Camp barracks to Level 5 if your District Hall is Level 5.
- Graveyard Spells: Make Graveyard Spells in the Skeleton Park District Spell Factory. Upgrade the Skeleton Park Spell Factory to Level 3 if your District Hall is Level 3.
- Army Camps: Still 5 Army Camps at Capital Hall Level 9:
- Three in Barbarian Camp
- One in Wizard Valley
- One in Dragon Cliffs District
- Army Camps in each District can be upgraded to different levels depending on that District’s Hall level.
- Spell Storage: Spell Storage is in the Wizard Valley District. You can upgrade Spell Storage to Level 4 if your District Hall is Level 4.
Strategy 3: Capital Hall Level 10 – Super Miner Swarm!

Troops Composition
For this strategy, go for a simple and strong ground army:
- 10 Super Miners (Level 4): These miners are tough and go underground to avoid defenses!
For this attack, you have two choices:
- Funnel Attack: Clear a path from one side using a few Super Miners, then send in the rest.
- Mass Miner Swarm: Deploy all your Super Miners at once in a big group!
Either way, Super Miners are powerful and can take down bases quickly.
At Capital Hall Level 10, your Army Camps can hold a total of 250 troops.
- Super Miner: Takes up 25 housing space each

Spells Composition
For spells, use this combo:
- 2 Frost Spells (Level 5): Freeze defenses to stop them from attacking.
- 1 Lightning Spell (Level 5): Take out a key defense quickly.
Use your spells smartly! Before you deploy your Super Miners, use Frost Spells to freeze high-damage defenses like Blast Bows, Giant Cannons, or Rocket Artillery. This gives your Miners time to get close and start destroying things without getting blasted right away. You can also use the Lightning Spell to take out a specific defense that’s causing trouble.
At Capital Hall Level 10, your Spell Storage can hold a total of 7 spells.
- Frost Spell: Takes up 3 spell housing space each
- Lightning Spell: Takes up 1 spell housing space each

Barracks Required for this Strategy
Here’s where to train these troops and spells:
- Super Miners: Train them in the Goblin Mines District. Upgrade the Goblin Mines barracks to Level 4 if your District Hall is Level 4.
- Frost Spells: Make Frost Spells in the Builder’s Workshop District Spell Factory. Upgrade the Builder’s Workshop Spell Factory to Level 5 if your District Hall is Level 5.
- Lightning Spells: Make Lightning Spells in the Balloon Lagoon District Spell Factory. Upgrade the Balloon Lagoon Spell Factory to Level 5 if your District Hall is Level 5.
- Army Camps: Still 5 Army Camps at Capital Hall Level 10:
- Three in Barbarian Camp
- One in Wizard Valley
- One in Dragon Cliffs District
- Army Camps in each District can be upgraded to Level 5 (or higher depending on the District).
- Spell Storage: Spell Storage is in the Wizard Valley District. You can upgrade Spell Storage to Level 5 if your District Hall is Level 5.
Conclusion
So, there you have it – 3 awesome army strategies for Clan Capital raids in Clash of Clans! Using these plans will give you a much better chance of winning raids and getting more raid medals. With practice, you can even get raid scores as high as 40,000! It’s all about strategy and knowing how to use your troops and spells.
Here’s a little cheat trick I used to use when my Capital Hall and troops were lower level: If you have multiple Clash of Clans accounts, you can use one or two “bait” accounts to attack first and scout the base. Then, use your main account to attack and get a super high score! It’s a sneaky way to get ahead!
